In the first book, we meet Grace, her assistant (a very prickly woman), and the owner of the Manor House and his step-daughter. Bennett and Grace may have a very familial relationship. It seems that Bennett's father was in a relationship with Grace's Grandmother, making her mother and Bennett siblings. She buys a tourist business that sells knick-knacks and some property where she rents the property to others who need places to live. When a man is murdered and she finds him, she begins to work to find out who murdered him and uses her very good attention to detail to help her find out the truth. She also calls one officer Dimples and the other Tony Baloney. Then there is a female officer whose name is Wiggles.

After that, she is brought home to London and the business left to her and her cousin, Vivian. When she stumbles across a dead body she has to prove that she had nothing to do with it. She makes friends with her gay neighbors - a dentist and a photographer. They all gather around and help another friend deal with the loss of her hair and the treatment for cancer. While all this happens she also helps her sister find out who put a murdered man in the back of her sister's car. She also helps friends find their true passion and learns more about herself and how she feels about Nathan, while he finds out he truly feels about her.  I really enjoy these stories (the series) and am looking forward to the next book. I like the Bible Study that they are doing and will often look up those verses and mark them in my Bible.
