Okay, I stumbled across this series and started with a book from the middle. I was then reading the books as I was able to obtain from the Library systems. I finally finished all the available books from the series by reading Book 1 - Mr. Churchill's Secretary. We meet Maggie Hope and her friends and roommates, who are sharing her home that she inherited from her grandmother. She had just finished her undergraduate work and was sent to England to sell the house and return to the USA to finish her studies, using the monies from the sale of the house. When she gets there she keeps learning about all the things that happened to her mother and father while she was a baby. We learn how she becomes associated with Mr. Churchill and how she ends up in SOE. I did enjoy this story and it was fun to watch a series on Netflix about Churchill's Secret Agents - SOE agents.

In the first book, we meet Grace, her assistant (a very prickly woman), and the owner of the Manor House and his step-daughter. Bennett and Grace may have a very familial relationship. It seems that Bennett's father was in a relationship with Grace's Grandmother, making her mother and Bennett siblings.
