Primarily set in Harvest, Ohio which is supposedly in Holmes County where you can find a large population of Amish and Mennonite people. One is set in New York City and another starts in NYC and moves back to Harvest. 

These mysteries look at a young woman who was able to grow up knowing her Amish grandparents, even though her father had left the Amish to marry her mother. When she is old enough she trains to be one of the best Chocolatiers in hopes of one day returning to Harvest, OH to work with her grandparents. While she is working at a busy candy maker in New York City she learns of the death of her grandfather and returns to Harvest, OH to work and live with her grandmother (Mami). She finds a body and then works to find out who murdered the person and meets many of the residents English and Amish. 

I just finished reading book 4 of the series and as I read these there are moments that I feel that the Amish and English are misrepresented. At other times, I feel that the Amish are overdone. I am not a fan and I read these usually when we go up to the area to visit family or for a quick shopping trip.
