I have been trying to make more time for God. Just taking a few moments to be quiet and listen. I used to knit more than I do now, but then I just can't seem to be quiet as much as I would like. Just as I get quiet someone comes along and turns on a tv or asks me questions or just wants me to pay attention to them. In order to be quiet, I need to go to be very late or get up very early and usually at that time I become very tired and don't accomplish very much. I did enjoy this and I am hoping that when things get back to normal - not the new normal - I will have that time to sit and knit or crochet or even just read and reflect. 

If you knit or crochet, there is a nice pattern at the end of the book to make and also an area that can be filled out for the devotional.

In the first book, we meet Grace, her assistant (a very prickly woman), and the owner of the Manor House and his step-daughter. Bennett and Grace may have a very familial relationship.
